ALBUM REVIEW CREW EPISODE 37: "THE WINERY DOGS"

 

On the 37th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review the self-titled debut album of The Winery Dogs.

The Winery Dogs is a hard rock supergroup with Richie Kotzen as the lead singer and lead guitarist, Bill Sheehan as the bassist and Mike Portnoy as the drummer. Each member is an excellent musician and considered a top player on their instrument.

Their debut album features thirteen songs with a ton of influences. Each member shines on all the songs. However, Kotzen's soulful vocals may shine the brightest on the album. The lyrics which are credited to The Winery Dogs, talk of love, loss, mistakes, redemption and hope.

The album was produced by the Winery Dogs and was released on May 13, 2013 and did make the Top 30 on Billboard 200 charts.

As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 35 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew.
