ALBUM REVIEW CREW EPISODE 78: "BOSTON"
On the 78th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & special guest, Hall Of Famer & SIOL favorite, Murph, review the legendary 1976 classic rock self-titled debut by "Boston."
Boston is the creation of MIT alumni and musical genius, guitarist Tom Scholz. Underrated singer Brad Delp was on vocals, Sib Hashian on drums, Barry Goudreau also on guitars and Fran Sheehan on bass.
Most of the music was created and performed by Tom Scholz who created a one of a kind studio in his basement in Watertown, Massachusetts, which was revolutionary.
The album went on to become the highest selling debut album at that time. It was produced by Tom Scholz and John Boylan. It made it to #3 on the US Billboard charts and eventually went 17 times platinum.
The album ushered in classic arena rock. The guitars, vocals and lyrics are heard all over classic rock radio, especially their legendary song, "More Than A Feeling."
