On the 82nd Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom & Zeus welcome back special guest legendary Boston radio DJ and the Morning Host on 100 The Pike FM, Mike Hsu to review the 1994 transitional album from Pearl Jam, "Vitalogy!"
Vitalogy was Pearl Jam's third album. By 1994 grunge music was at its height and Pearl Jam was the perhaps the biggest band in the world.
Pearl Jam was led by lyricist and lead singer Eddie Vedder and the two guitar attack of Mike McCready and Stone Goddard. Fan favorite Jeff Ament was on bass and on drums was the polarizing Dave Abbruzzese.
Vitalogy saw the band move into a different direction. Less guitars and grunge and more punk rock and experimental songs.
Vitalogy went to number 1 on the Billboard album charts and five time platinum. It features Pearl Jam favorites like Not For You, Spin The Black Circle, Corduroy, Better Man and more.
This was Tom's pick.
So grab a slice of rink pizza and your tincture and get ready for a great music discussion with an awesome guest!
